What blogging platform do you use?
Enertia is proudly powered by WordPress. I have tried other platforms, but nothing has ever compared with WordPress. With all the themes, plug-ins and hacks available the possibilities really are endless.
How long did it take you to setup your blog?
Creating a MySQL database installing WordPress took a matter of minutes. Modifying the look and function of the site was done in bits and took anything from a couple of hours to a week in progress. It was researching and developing my blog that took the most time. It was about one year in the making before I actually decided to go ahead with the idea.
Are you on any Social Networking sites?
I have personal accounts on Facebook and Twitter and will be launching new profiles soon. Join this blog or subscribe to my RSS feed and you’ll be the first to know when the new profiles go up.
Why hasn’t my comment been published?
If your comment is any of the following
- too self-promoting
- inconsiderate to other users (i.e. argumentative)
- full of profanity
- spam, it will be edited or deleted
- ALL Comments are moderated, so please be patient
Can I advertise with you?
As an online marketeer I love to promote other sites and like-minded individuals. This in mind, I only promote those relevant to the content within this site and so will be unable to open doors to all walks of life. However, I am always open to ideas. I do ask that there is a reciprocal agreement but feel free to get in contact with me and I would be happy to discuss your options. Send what you have to advertising@e-nertia.co.uk.
Can I submit my own article to Enertia?
Of course. It’s very important to me that my readers feel connected to the content and so for this reason I do accept articles from like-minded individuals. My rules for articles are the same as they are for comments. Make them relevant and useful and free from spammy content. Send your articles to submissions@e-nertia.co.uk and I’ll let you know if I can post them and also when they would be posted to coincide with your own blog.
How long does an article have to be?
The article doesn’t have to be extremely long; but it should be useful and more importantly relevant to this blog.
What can I write about?
If you’re stuck for a topic, get in touch and I can provide guidelines and possible topics. Reviews of relevant products and services are always a good starting point. Also lists and compilations of information related to a given topic is always useful, just don’t overdo it.
Can I submit more than one article?
A single article is great, but I love building long-term relationships with readers and so if you feel you can maintain a steady flow of interesting content, I’d be happy to showcase them. This said, I cannot guarantee that every article will be accepted all the time (but may be queued) based on the flow of content and theme on this blog. Note that there may also be competition between bloggers for particular subjects in which case, a ‘group post’ or discussion may be published whereby we showcase the points of view of several bloggers and link back to their full posts. I will endeavour to include as many great articles as possible.
Will you help me setup my new blog?
Yes. You should find out most of the basics from my posts but you can always post a comment I’ll be happy to help if I can. And if I can’t, someone else may have the answer. If you require individual help then get in touch and we can have a chat, maybe set up a consultation and take things from there.
